Founded in 1992, Sundial Brands is committed to making the highest quality natural skin care products possible, engaging in eco-friendly and cruelty-free business practices, and supporting local communities and fair trade around the world.
Sundial’s team works with a common purpose: making its products synonymous with unique, high quality, naturally derived skin and hair treatments. In two short decades, the company has gone from selling products on NYC street corners to major distribution at mass retailers throughout the United States, including Target, Walgreens, Duane Reade, CVS, Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe, Wegmans and more.
Throughout its phenomenal expansion, Sundial has remained true to the deep family tradition and legacy of founder Rich Dennis’s grandmother, Sofi. Widowed at 19, the indomitable and enterprising Sofi began making and selling handmade shea butter soaps and other products in her native Sierra Leone to support her family.
Building upon Sofi’s foundation, Sundial’s products are inclusive, serving people of all ethnicities and addressing specific skin care issues that have been traditionally ignored in the mass marketplace, such as hyperpigmentation and dark spots. Research is one of the core components, enabling Sundial to explore holistic and culturally authentic practices and ingredients from around the globe and incorporate them into the skin and hair care formulations of its brands. Sundial Brands proudly makes its eco-friendly products at its 55,000 square foot state-of-the-art factory in Amityville, NY.
By maximizing the rich diversity of its heritage, dynamic employees, and complementary brands, Sundial has made healthy, natural skin and hair care for all people its ultimate goal.
Because every body deserves to be healthy and beautiful.
